Did this one lay eggs? Usually if they start getting any colored plumage, it means they have a damaged ovary!And even the girls new feathers have a bit more of a yellow tint to them - though I seem to remember the same from last year and wonder if the old ones are simply a bit drained of colour through the seasons.

Ok, just letting you know that when a hen starts getting male colored plumage, it usually means that they have an ovary that has gotten damaged or some other type of reproductive problem with their ovaries. Here's a photo of one of my hens that has lost her ovaries, I don't know how but she has lost them!All my girls laid eggs and I'm not worried, they just seem to grow out like that and then fade.This was them last year with their new feathers:
