I'm so sorry to hear this. I also lost my wonderful dog companion recently and this is the first time I've been without a dog. It's so heartbreaking. I hope you can remember the good memories without pain.

Thank you, I am so very sorry for your loss. It is devastating and hurts so deeply. Waking up to no morning walkies, coming home to no waggy tail...
The good bits will come with time.

Sorry i have been off for a while. First I had far away guests over for a holiday and then I lost my precious dog, and it absolutely broke me.
For the first time in my adult life I have no dog. It's absolutely heartbreaking.

Yeah, she did well!
She was still walking miles and miles at the start of the summer, but then she had a stroke and even though she bounced back like nothing it was never really the same.
When she had another two small episodes it was time. They have a lot of dignity, the shibas...
