my minature horse

The all stock is more like $10.00 per 50 pound bag. But again it's not great quality and she will only need a tiny bit a day. I feed my minis 1 small coffe mug per day. 1/2 in morning and 1/2 at night. The better quality feed is more like the prices you listed. And for 1 mini a goat it will last you a long time. Around the time "res" listed.

Wow. I'm starting to think this will be music to my parents ears.

Lol!
I feed my horse stradegy made by perinia and I LOVE it!!!! It's about $18.00 per 50 pound bag. It's also a pelleted feed.

I have 4 horses 2 full size and 2 minis and it cost me around $125.00 a month the feed all 4 of mine. I also just feed round bales of hay that the horses can fee time eat as they please in a covered hay shed. But again I have 2 full size and 2 minis that all share.

Strategy is a really good feed. It is what I feed my horses. I would not put her on anything with molasses. She may not need much grain at all. You just need to make sure you store the feed well so it lasts a long time without getting moldy or risk of pests.

Goats and horses have some different needs nutritionally, so I would not recommend feeding them the same food. You may have to separate them for feeding time, which is something to consider. It can be a bit of a pain to constantly separate animals for feeding, especially if you have to do it before school.

Horses tend to need a farrier every 6-8 weeks. I can generally get away with 8 weeks between trimmings. Every horse can be a little a different though.

A horse dentist is another thing to think about. We have this done usually once a year but some horses need it more often.

Cost per small bale depends a lot on where you are in Kansas. Closer to KC, the higher the price. Further from KC, the cheaper it gets. Our family sells big round bales (1000-1400lb each) for $40 per bale. We haven't done small square in YEARS, but I'm betting they would go for $4-6 per bale now (~60 lb bales).

Equine dental work will by far be your biggest cost. If there was any way to have her mouth looked at BEFORE you buy her, by a vet or dentist, then you would know better what cost you are looking at. Some minis have perfectly fine dental structure and can get by with a exam - sedation - float annually for around $200-$250, maybe more. But if she has a wonky mouth, then her dental costs and care skyrocket.

Farrier will need to come every 6 weeks or so. You could look for a farrier who will teach you how to maintain her feet so that you only have to have a paid farrier visit every 6 months or so. Some are willing to teach clients, some are not. Cost wise, again it will vary by your location.

My detal care for my horses is also yearly and my vet is only about $150.00 per horse and she also holds 1/2 price specials so check with your vet about that too!
