i may be falling off the anti dubbing train. my boy has black spots on his comb that dont seem to be going away with the sulfur ointment i put on it not helping. i thought he got them in a fight the first night we got them but my mother says there are more now than then. is dubbing a way to keep them healthy?

Im really confused on this. any help out there?

OK I talked to a proffesional show breeder, My rooster has been dissmised as a unshowable bird

He holds his tail feathers wrong, his chest isn't as solid as it should be and he is a cross from two kinds of old english game, utterly unshowable, we walked away with our tail feathers laid low.

On a MUCH brighter note dubbing is not a problem, his comb problem is only from a fight then scrapping it on the low ceiling of his temp cage (which he is no longer in)


I still can breed for show, my girls are both pure breeds and any offspring would be show quality even with my roo being outcast. I am told he is entirely beautiful and his babies could win. If you want some hatching eggs come spring just email me

My lil' rooster captian jack had a testosterone burst today.
tried to attack a nine pound rooster.
through a chicken wire fence.
didnt work.
yeah......
so he tore his spurs up. they are bloody and raw. i cleaned it (both of them) out and bandaged it with sulfur ointment.
I am so irratted with him. he is not suppose to be so stupid.... GRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

I am so confused!!! I am probably going to give up my miniflock, I haven't got the time to spend with them that it would take to retame them to be used to me. I have new chicks but cannot decide what breed I should keep. I have self blue, blue red, blue breasted red, silver duckwing, and a japanese. i have to narrow down but don't know wich ones to keep.
