My mom doesn't like my eyeliner...

I've considered it because of lack of time in the morning... however, since I wear foundation (when I wear makeup) as well as eye makeup, there's no point because I'd cover it up while applying the base.

I've got my eyeliner tattooed on, but that's because I'm lazy like that.

However, as a mother, GO WASH YOUR FACE....

Actually, my 14 y/o isn't allowed to wear makeup at school, per school rules, so I don't really worry too much.

She only did the eyeliner. She does not wear much makeup anyhow. Things that are fun at a young age are not always as fun at an older age, less energy I think.

I'm a grandma and I like your eyeliner!

I think your mom needs to chill just a little bit.

(Now, if you were made up like Lady Gaga, then we'd have a problem.)

I think you are lovely! And I agree with the rules as long you live in her house, and it would be a matter of a time when you can look good like proms, homecomings, very special occassion that needs makeups. I have a seven year old daughter and the only thing I would allow her is play make up for kids but not going to school looking like a raccoon!

I've seen raccoon eyes or badly done, sure, those mothers do have valid reasons and the shock effect it has on the public LOL!

With Lady Gaga, well, I would tell her to either lighten up with those face paints or wash it off!

Your mom probably does not like it because it may draw too much unwanted male attention, or the wrong kind of male attention... not that she'd like ANY male attention.

LOL

That said, I agree, why would a young person want to wear foundation? I never have or will be a make up person, but many of my high school friends are. A good number of them started using make up like foundations, powder stuff, eyeliners and such just over decade ago (around 14/15 years old), and now say they can never go without it because their skin is no longer soft and smooth as it used to be.... and attribute it to years of covering up their faces when younger... but do not want to stop because they don't like how their skin looks without make up. Of course, genetics probably has a ton to do with it.

I say just let your natural beauty shine.
