Update: We just got back from the doctor. For now, my mom has been given 2 subscriptions, one that she will take every day and 1 that she can take when she is at her lowest or having an anxiety attack. They took a sample of blood from her and are sending it to the lab. That should confirm whether or not she will need surgery to take care of her thyroid gland. I'm anxious to see what the results will be. Thanks again everyone for all the support and advice.
