Chickens in the grass! I love this photo because of the colors! There are lovely shades of red, white, blue, green, orange. If there's anything prettier than a chicken, it's a chicken in grass.

beautiful pics! Your chickens look like they have great lives with you!

and laurels and madrones grow in much of California... not just near Oregon. I grew up in the Bay Area and we have plenty there... along with redwoods

Yeah, I sure am proud of them!

And, blackfootfarm, I actually live in the Santa Cruz mountains. We have mostly redwoods, medrone, oak, and fir trees. No laurels in our area. (I've seen laurels close to our area though.)

The Bay Area isn't way south... it's still NorCal... but nowhere near the Oregon border. I live in SW Washington now and I do the drive all the time... 4+ hours from Oregon border to the Bay Area... but it's still NorCal
