It's got to be a hard thing to deal with and everyone reacts differently. Sounds like you are doing the best you can for her benefit. All we can do now is pray.

God our Father,
Blessed be Your name. It can happen to anyone... fear can ride up inside and grip our very souls. Being diagnosed with a disease that can end your life sooner than later can even make someone question the plan You have for them and if You exist as a loving healing God for why does it seem at times like these that You are not there? It can turn into a "why do bad things happen to good people kind of thing?" type of scenario. And I don't know if that is the case here, Lord. You are the only one who knows this dear woman's heart and her fears and concerns. It is hard to admit we are not in control and it's even harder to let up the reigns of what we think we are in control of and hand them over to anyone... because we all want to be reassured that everything is going to be "all right."

Please hear our prayers in Jesus' name that this woman we speak of today can have some comfort in knowing that You are there for her at all times... through the good and the bad... and never have You or will You turn from her so may she never turn from You. Because in Glory You are held in the highest. In faith it shall be that we cling to the rock of our salvation. For the beauty of a new day shall for ever be graced upon us whether we be here treading upon this earth or in Heaven sitting at Jesus' right hand side. May comfort overwhelm her very soul and may she see and be touched by her friends and loved ones when they reach out to be with her and help her...may she not become agitated and shun them for it is Your will to help those in need. And though she may not be accepting of her illness and all that it entails... she must accept her position so she may move forward in her journey for it is with humbleness and meekness we pray for the good of her situation. May she make this journey with a new found courage, strength, and grace to carry her through always realizing that You, our dear, Lord and Savior, are with her every inch of the way. So shall it be in Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Most humbly spoken,
gretchen

You're welcome. My FIL is battling terminal cancer right now. So far his spirits have stayed up, but he is so tired of all the hospital stays and the internal bleeding scares. He is a very young almost 78 year old and would much rather be in FL on the golf course like he normally is this time of the year.

Keeping your mother in my prayers...
