My Muscovies are trying to pip - Pictures

Did you wash the eggs before incubating them? Could it have been a nutritional deficiency (on the part of mom or dad) that caused the malpositioning? Any other information from the necropsies to help prevent this in the future?
Super cute ducks and chicks btw. Thanks for sharing.
Still waiting on a picture of that huge rat lol.

NO you shouldn't wash the eggs. malpositioning is caused by several things.

I am new to ducks I used to have chickens but one of my ducks layer an egg Tuesday should I wait till she lays another and then incubate them or should I incubate the one and candle it. Also it has a little bit of poop on it should I gently scrub it with just hot water . I wanted to wait before I incubate the one egg because If it is fertile and hatches I would like it to have a brother/sister to be with it. If it helps I have a pair of wood ducks , call ducks and ring teal.

You can wipe the Poop off but DO NOT wet it, Just take a paper towel and try to wipe it, It's OK if there's poop, Also, YOU do not want to throw one egg in and then collect another the next day and throw that in.

Best thing to do is to Collect as many eggs as you can UP to 10 days, Store them in an egg Carton with the Larger end UP. Once you have the right number of eggs then throw them all in AT once, this will give you ONE due date.

By putting a new egg in the incubator each day you will have all kinds of issues and different dues dates, this is NOT good for Lockdown.

You can referee to my website www.lwbarnhouse.com click on the tab that says DUCK, there are Two methods I have posted on how to hatch Call ducks, this works for any kind of ducks Even chickens..

If after that you still have questions let me know. Thank you and WELCOME NEWCOMER..
