Good to have a diagnoses, do you think it came from the incubator?

Any new arrivals yet?

Don't think it was from the incubator, 'cause the other nine are doing fine, I think it was due to their malpositioning and not properly absorbing the yolk.

And yes, we have three new ones that I just brought inside.

I brought them in 'cause there are two other duck hens that are a little too interested in the nest and one of the eggs got stepped on yesterday and that chick died. Once a few more hatch I'll put these back with her.

Then girls can be stinkers, I have to keep my mamas and babies in a separate pen and house when they hatch till about 3 weeks old because someone will try to get them, once they get old enough to be able to run away they are fine. Some of my mamas aren't the best at defending their ducklings either.

Sorry about the one duckling not making it.

All but one have zipped and they're fluffing up under Mom! I've had two hens raise ducklings before, so maybe that's what the other hens are up to, lol. Will be taking the others out, soon.

Aweee, more babies. What will you do with all those ducklings? You know spring is around the corner and your going to be really busy with more babies.

I will find homes for them, lol. Only ducks I'm going to keep are the chocolates.
