I have a naked neck chick that is a month old. She is as old as the rest of the chicks, but she is pecked on. I walked into there area, and she had a deep gash on her neck. I put her into the ducks area, and the next day I put her back into the chicken area. She went to go get food, and they bit her neck. She was hunched into the corner, and wanted to get out. When she was in the cage with the ducks, she chirped a lot. The same chirp happened with the chicks. They hurt her, and I don’t know what to do. If I could get an answer soon that would be great! Thanks!

Tell us more..... how many chicks......and what size brooder or coop/run they are in.
Dimensions and pics of housing would be most helpful.

I have nine chicks, and they are not living in the coop yet. I put more feeding stuf, and there not as bad. But I just want her to be fine

Wishing they will all be nice and get along won't work. I am taking it she is your only naked neck? Sometimes a bird won't work in a particular flock. You can try hide outs, multiple feed bowls, but I would be inclined to remove this bird from that flock. I don't think it is going to work. Maybe with more space, in a coop set up, but I don't think so. Once a bird becomes a victim in a flock, it is very difficult to break that pattern.

Thank you, but I went out there. She was in the heat lamp with the group, and they weren’t pecking on her. They were all together. I thought that she must have been sick, or somethin, but they left her alone. Thank you everyone for the help!
