My name is Cindi, and I'm a chickenaholic. :)

Totally want to see it! Not sure what my coop will look like, but my husband used to own his own construction company and does beautiful work. I suspect it will look similar to the front of our house that he just remodeled, as he has leftover building stuff. So--grey siding with blue fake cedar siding for contrast. I can't wait till he starts making it.

I have to get our neighbor to cut down a giant tree limb before he starts building it. I need to get on that! Chooks turned 2 weeks today! :)

(Your dog looks like a big sweet bear, BTW)

I'm getting an Easter Egger, two Salmon Faverolles (they are so cute and quirky, they remind me of a creature from Harry Potter) a Mystery Assorted Rare Breed Chicken (fun!) and another MFD. I just love them! All girls. Do you have pics of your MFDs you can post? How many chooks do you have total?
That will be a nice flock! Yes I love my MFD, I have only one ....Sunflower of the dandelion haiku...she doesn't have her 'thousand flowers' yet. Just one or two so far...
mille 6 wks (3 of 1).jpg
Total, there are 3 hens and 6 youngsters.

I promise I'll post pictures and a video tour !

Bake the neighbor some cookies and promise to share some eggs when your babies start laying and I bet they will jump right on getting rid of that tree!

Everyone says that about Tomo! He is an Akita and weighs 125 pounds. He is sweet and loves to be cuddled and loved on! He drew quite a crowd on the beach a few weeks ago on vacation!

She's beautiful! I loved the video this AM (that was yours, right? got busy at work and had to log off). My babies had a growth spurt today, they look like fat little ducklings now. :)

Yay!! I want to see pics. :)

Give that big fuzzy old baby a kiss for me. He does look sweet. Doggies are the BEST.

:yuckyuck
Love it! I am a closet addict. We are going to be moving as soon as I have my knee replaced and therapy done. I am forbidden to get any more chickens until after we move. HOW EVER, I have a massive list of birds to order, and since my dear hubby will not be moving at the same time. . .:celebrateCHICKENS!!!:yesss:

I'm enjoying reading this thread, hope all your chickens keep healthy, and looking forward to more pics.

Yesterday I discovered one of our Rode Island Red chick is a rooster, we can't keep him sadly, our friend is taking him, so naturally I had to replace him. I found a breeder an hour away, I picked up 3 Jubilee orpington pullets, one Lavender orpington, and and one Tolbunt orpington. as you can see, my chicken math is great, I give away 1, and add 5. but count pass up on those breeds.

I LOVE your chicken math!!!!!:lau

My names Sacha, and I am a chickenaholic. Six years ago, when I was Fifteen, I told my Dad, 'Dad. I think we should get ducks." He just looked at me and said, "Sacha, no. But we can get chickens if you really want to." WAS HE IN FOR A SURPRISE. You should of seen the look on his face when my mom and I told him we ordered four more this year. We told him we needed to go with 4 in case one did not make it. What started off as a group of three rag-tag chicks six years ago has slowly crept up to 17 with the new 4 we just got. We received a Salmon Faverolles (Pictured bellow... SO FLUFFY!), A Delaware, Dominique, and a buff laced Polish.

So I have a serious chicken problem and all of my friends at University think I'm a little off the wall because of it. BUT HEY, find those around you that embrace your devotion to feathered friends. HATERS BACK OFF, you know?

I have not met my 4 new girls, because I'm at school, and its finals week, and I am going through my finals with glazed eyes because all I want to do is go home and snuggle with my babies. You know you have a problem when you have the brooder in your bedroom haha... only two more days before I get to go home!
