I have a serious problem to. I want to hatch every single day. I want every breed of chicken, duck, gees, peacock and quail. I need help!

Yea, I started out only wanting Speckled Sussex...got talked into ordering 10 BO hens with my Sussex...I didn't think I even wanted the BO, but I love them! They are gorgeous!!

Yea, then two months later I ordered Mille Fleurs, Quail Antwerps, Silkies, Rhode Island Reds, Americaunas, Light Brahmas, Blue Laced Red Wyandottes...and Bantam Buff Brahmas LOL

and now I have 8 mille fluer chicks, 4 Silkie chicks, and 3 Creole chicks!!

........and hatching eggs due to arrive any day for my broody hen!!

Yea um, 12 steps??? Are those steps to get MORE chickens??

Hello - My Name is Sonja and I am an addict too...

I watch chicken TV before work and when I get home and can be found in the chicken coop/run when missing for more than 15 minutes by my husband at any time of the day on the weekends.

My DH, Dogs and Fish are negelected until I check on my girls and I read the latest posts on BYC.

I check the Blog "Hey Grandpa Whats for Supper" at work so I have an idea to tell my husband what I want for dinner when I get home.

I tell my husband Chicken Therapy is less expensive than Clinical Therapy or Mall Therapy!

Ditto to everything said so far...I am wayyyyy over the top about my chickens too!!!
I dream about them,
design coops on my PC,
look at scrap & salvage stuff as potential coop materials,
stop at roadside stands and ask if they're eggs are fertilized,
take mondays off so i can go to the livestock auction
all xmas gifts are chicken-themed
and finally want to see if I can wire my TV into the coop so i can watch law & order with them.

Ever since I found this site, there has only been once/twice that I have tried to "quit", by not going to this site, but ....... sigh......

Hi, my name is Mary, and I am admitting that I am addicted, yes, literally addicted to chickens.

Read my Avatar heading again.

I do not have chickens (I used to when I was a small child)

but, I do have

1.) 2 detailed drawings of 2 henhouses w/ 3 henyards to each house

2.) multiple wish lists of different breeds that I want together

3.) a file chock full of important chicken info I'll need just in case my computer goes on the blink

4.) a list of Hatcheries and their catalogs that I can order from for all of the breeds I will choose

5,) a list of BYCers that have breeds that I am interested in

this list goes on/on/on...........

I dream about chickens - I have pics of chickens, feathers, other's henpens in my pic files on my computer - I talk about this site whenever I can - I give people this website when I talk to them about this site - I tell people to just go there and look around - looking doesn't hurt.

If this was a true drug addiction ----- I'd be in the deepest pile of !!!! ---- that I would need help for the rest of my life, very sad, but, very true.
