Did you mean on the floor or the wall? The floor will be covered with litter and the wall should not be a problem. I used wire on the floors and I DON'T like it. The plastic will let the litter slide out for cleaning.

Yeah.. amazing recycling! I want one of these!! It looks really incredible, too! It looks a lot more charming made of the pallet wood! What kind of birds are you breeding? Can't wait to see more!
