Just wanted to share this, it is on my sunporch now, but I took this pic in the garage. The baby pool keeps the litter from being tossed, no escapees, the heat lamp goes thru the top pool thru the middle. It is easy to clean. I had to come up with this after some babies escaped last year and got into the sump pump water. (the other were running all over my basement) I havent had a problem with this so far. Was also cheap to make. I have a few chicks in there now. The bottom keep drafts down, litter in, chicks in, good ventilation and sooooo easy to clean. I use it for the real little ones until after feathering out. I dont keep too many in here, but it works great for my needs. I imagine you could use a larger pool.

What do you think?

Wow, that was fast,lol.
I take the top pool off for feeding and watering, handling the chicks.,easy for me to reach the bottom. I can remove the mesh for cleaning the whole thing. Glad you like it.
