The way that our back yard is layed out we had this huge unused hill with a 45 degree grade that was not usable for anything...the chickens love the grass and weeds that grow there and have no trouble running up and down it all day long. Our first coup sat on the bottom edge of the hill on the retaining wall and was heavy and took up alot of space. So we had to design a coop that lets the chickens out on the hill and we could access from the ground and here's what we came up with. After a week of training the chickens to their new home everyone is laying and sleeping in their chicken condo happy as can be.
