The second set looks like all Roos to me... Last one might be a pullet but I'm leaning roo
Thanks for the congrats! Baby boy is doing well! I got more new chicks! Isabels from @rockinpaints and I couldn't be more pleased! Everyone is hwalthy, beautiful and so typey they have more breed character than some of my grown birds. I am in love and can't wait to watch them mature!

I very much recommend her. Babies arrived promptly, they are healthy and happy. She is super professional and helpful!

Yay! I'm so happy for you! =)
They're gorgeous!
I've had good experiences with Meyer Hatchery (so I doubt that DH will want to take any unnecessary risk), but I'll definitely check her out and send DH links to ones I want.![]()
I think you will be please if you order from her. These chicks are from English lines so should be fluffy and large in comparison to what you might get from a hatchery. She has so many amazing varieties to chose from! I'm like a kid in a candy store when I go to her website lol
We've kind of tried to stay away from breeds like Orp and Cochin, b/c we have Sex-Links that can get aggressive and NHs that can be aggressive against other breeds. The ones we just got came with the rares, (which included three Cochin pullets, well, they were supposed to be, but one has turned out to be a cockerel) and the NH and Cochin chicks (juvies) are above the rest of the rares in the pecking order. The Orps I had were on the bottom and were picked on badly, so that kind of worries me about going out of my way to order Orps.
But I'm definitely checking out her site to see what all she's got (and to try to be able to convince DH to order some.)![]()
Yeah my Orps are very sweet. Even my roosters live in huge bachelor groups and don't fight. I love orps foe their kind demenors. They don't lay too well but they're beautiful, personable and they entertain me. I like that I csn take groups that are months apart in age and just throw them together without bullying.
On another topic one of our rescue puppies went missing! We've searched the property high and low. He's been missing since noon yesterday. It'd in the upper 90s and in worried sick! Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers everyone!
Oh thank goodness we found him! He was under the shed and too weak to find his way out. Poor thing was lost for over 24 hrs. I was certain he was dead. He's my favorite pup so we are keeping him. Now we are trying to think up a good name for him... shack, shed, joe dirt lol this is the second time in his life (and the second shed) that he's been rescued from a shed.
