Here are some names I found.  I based them on the picture and on the names' meanings.

Gamila (Gorgeous woman)
Gamon (from the heart)  [this name is both male and female]
Gayle (cheerful, jovial)
Gaynelle (full of joy)
Genette, Gia, Gianna, Giovanna (God is merciful)
Genie (woman well-born)
Georgette, Georgia, Georgina (farming woman)
Gerda (strong like a spear)
Gertie, Gertrude, Gertrudes (the strongest spear)
Giacinta (hyacinth flower)
Gigi, Ginny (virgin woman)
Gittan (powerful, strong)
Gladys (woman of the land)
Glenda (nothing but goodness)
Gwyneth (happy woman)
Gyda (God is gorgeous)

Our broody had chicks! The parents are all mottled orpingtons but one chick looks blue...?

How long has the parent flock been separated? Do you have other breeds that would account for the possible blue chick?

A fence jumper or being in with a different rooster 30 days before the eggs were collected can explain the odd chick.

Of course it could be from an out cross too back several generations too.

The parent stock have been together since hatching, no new birds inteoduced. We have only chicks on the property, these are the only birds of breeding age, even if one of my isabels or partridges hopped in they are only a month old.

It must be from an earlier breed then.

It will be fun to watch them grow out! The one that looks blue could feather out normally--or slightly different in color instead of blue.

I'm thinking the guy I bought them from had bbs in his mottled pen. He said he had mottleds with a few black hens from Sacre thrown in. I'm betting those black hens carried the blue gene so when I bred the offspring together I got a blue... I hope it stays blue. That was the last variety I wanted to add for now so I would be happy with blue mottleds.
