My new chocolate call duck

I didnt no scovies came in that beautiful color. I was looking into getting scovies, runners, and goats.... but that stopped when I decided to go with an aviary and go for more wild birds than going for domestic creatures.
Maybe when you get time you can show us your aviary I know I'd love to see it. What all do you have in your aviary ?

Well when I say aviary I should say almost completed aviary. Right now everything is done but landscaping. I have to wait till' spring to plant landscaping and put in pond plants/fish, after that I will get the rest of the birds. The aviary is about 800sq ft with a 1000 gallon pond. I plan to have a handful of call ducks, 1 pair of wood ducks, a trio of mandarin (white male and 2 normal females), 2 fulvous whistling ducks, about 25 bobwhite quail, a pair of golden pheasants, and ringneck doves. This may sound like a lot but it really isnt for this size aviary but..... I want it to feel like they are almost in the wild. There will be a lot of landscaping and only natural nesting sites.

Very jealous of your chocolates! They are hard to find!

This is my one chocolate magpie call duck. Wish her bill was shorter but I can work on that!

Your drake looks more like a lavender.
The first pic here is a silver, the bottom is a lavender. He gets darker in the winter (I need to take an updated pic) and has a rusty color to him at times like what you are describing

Hehe, awww, those are adorable, Leary! Although I feel kinda bad for laughing...she has all the phenotypical hallmarks of a call duck; round head, short, stubby body, but then...HUGE HONKIN' SHNOZZ!
