My disclaimer is that 95% of my framing experience came from helping my grandpa remodel his basement when I was 16. I haven't had much if any experience since then. He was a stickler for details though.

I do think I'm going to hold off building the side walls, which will entail building window frames and framing in the door, until my dad comes to help tomorrow. I need to attach the skids to the floor as well.

Can't wait to see pics of your brooder metal-peddler.
 
what size coop are you building ? i am building a small 12x8 coop myself if this hobby grows on me i want to build a bigger coop with a concrete run
 
Buster i see projects written all over that coop, wish i was closer id certainly give you a hand..did the same thing, prebuilt all the frames in our garage (for five of our coops) and much closer to the the fridge for the mikes hard lemonade, always made things go smoother...Looking good so far..
