wow! absolutely adorable! and i love your brooder! i have a playpen that's not in use upstairs and i'm now going to use that as MY brooder! thanks for the idea! also, i couldn't help but feel that the cat had eaten the babies, lol, cuz first you showed a pic of the chicks in their brooder, and THEN, no chicks...but the CAT in the brooder! lol! looked as if the cat had eaten them! thank goodness that wasn't the case! they are so very cute!

Thanks No, Dex would never eat the chicks. He is their guardian cat. He doesn't even lick his lips. I've seen him purr when I set them beside him One of my cats DOES lick her lips, and my dog chases her away every time. It's funny how my dog can sense that the cat sees a snack The brooder is actually big enough. I was dreading the RubberMaid bin, as I like my chicks to have lots of room to explore. I have 3 in my sunroom with full access. I put floor protector down, and shavings overtop. They have a huge area to play in
