My new EE's

I bought 12 EE's last Saturday. I have since lost four pretty rapidly in the last 2 days. The rest look great. 3 are starting to get white tip feathers on their wings. 2 of theses are yellow chicks, so I expected white. The third is a grayish, touch of yellow,& brown/red, so white wing tips surprised me a bit.

EE's can turn colors as they get adult plumage. Have you determined why the others died?

I actually ended up loosing 5. The remaining 7 are doing fantastic. Zipping around like they are running a race. I did not figure out why the others died. Calling the lady I got them from tomorrow to see if she lost any of the ones that were left. Since I lost so many she may replace them.

I did know that the color changes as they grow. That is one of the great things about EE's.

They are enjoying there first day of free ranging. Un today they had a small run.
