Hello and welcome to our flock! Having and raising chickens never gets old, does it? They help me to relax! Have you been to our learning center yet? They have some great articles to read, here is the link to it, https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center.

Also if you want to post pics of you new flock you can do it here, https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/15/what-breed-or-gender-is-this
We all love looking at new chicks!

Not sure where you live but if you go here https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/26/where-am-i-where-are-you, you can find your state thread and meet up with peeps who live by you! If you have any questions feel free to ask, someone is always willing to lend an hand! :):)
Also if you need anything or have questions about your new ones this thread is really good, https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/...ks-the-first-60-days-of-raising-baby-chickens.

:highfive:

Welcome to BYC!

Make yourself at home here on BYC and welcome to our flock!

One rooster can handle 10 hens, he will certainly overbreed 2 hens to the point of damage and beyond.

Do you intend to hatch eggs? A rooster is needed if you want fertile eggs, otherwise hens will lay just as well without him.

Thanks for the info. expecting to have more arrive later this week again thanks!
