I got babies this morning!
i ordered from Ideal and only one baby didn't make it. I got 14 Austrolorps, 5 Blue Silkies (two white, one black, two blue) 8 white guineas, 5 pearl guineas and two lavender guineas (one possibly pied). One white silkie was blowing a bubble from her mouth and looked weak but a few hours later she's a perfectly normal chick. So far I'm pleased with them and I think they're all friendly and healthy. The Austrolorps fall asleep when we hold them. We name one so far, the black silkie. His name is Chip because he still had some eggshell on him that the guineas found fascinating.
A few guineas--mostly just the whites--are a little tackle-happy but they're settling down. The silkies aren't getting bullied like I feared they would. I will post pictures soon as I can. I took one of each variety.
