Oh. My. Goodness. I have not seen a barrel setup like that in years! This is an absolutely fabulous contraption that my FIL was fond of using. And it has been a while since I've seen a person wearing exam gloves while holding chicks. This is an excellent way of protecting the chicks and yourself. All that work is paying off, your chicks look great! Although I kept my water source closer to the heat as my chicks seemed to like the warm water.
