My new girls? Time once again to question gender

Wow, they've gotten big! I see at least one roo there I think!

Yes they are growing fast! The oldest and largest of them is pink at the base of the comb and cheeks but she should be around 10 weeks I think looking back at pictures my BRs were pink then as well. I'm leaning towards all pullets but would guess i will know in another couple weeks.

Ya I'm really thinking 3 pullets which is great! Now if my big girls would stop being jerks!

I did exactly like you are - prefab coop in the big girls run- but mine were raised by a broody who gave them some protection. I also had a bantam Cochin roo in there who kept the disagreements in check. Like you I started daytime mixing around 4 weeks. I think I put the littles in at 5-6 weeks and left the prefab there so they could hide for a couple more weeks. The big girls were still jerks but nothing terrible happened.

I locked them out of the prefab coop yesterday and they went into the big coop and rousted on top of the scratch bin. I moved them to the roost and after locking the coop up I removed the prefab coop. Yesterday when I let them out they went straight to the little coop and didn't hardly come out so today I removed that as an option and am keeping an eye out to see if they need it back for protection but so far this morning they are all doing well.
