My new Metzer Farm Ducklings are here!!!

My mom and I just got our 10 girls from Metzer today! They are so sweet and healthy :) the breeds are: Cayuga, Blue Runner, Golden 300, Khaki Campbell and Welsh Harlequin- we got 2 of each. I swear they have already doubled in size! The girls will nap for 20-30 minutes then eat/drink and run around then time for a nap again! I'm eager to see what these next weeks have in store but I'm definitely going to cherish the time they are tiny! I'm going to make up a food coloring mixture so they can run through it and make tiny duck footprints on a canvas.

Cute idea!! Tailspin, can you let me know how your 300s' temperaments are compared to the Cayugas and the Harlequins? I noticed the Metzer site listed the 300s as "average" vs. the Cayugas as "calm" and the Harlequins as "very calm", and I am very curious to know whether you notice a difference in their behavior as they grow.
 
So far as I have watched they all are calmish, including the 2 runners, but they did just arrive this morning. So we shall see!
 
They are just so sweet! they look so small. sounds so odd to have birds come from the post lol that is uncommon here. Best of luck with them!

aw, looks like a pool brooder? good idea, done that one myself before. Good luck with them!
