Well done........View attachment 1360735 View attachment 1360736 View attachment 1360737 View attachment 1360738 I have been out most of the day getting the fab 4's duck house ready. I almost made it, but it was getting late and a really cold breeze whipped up which reminded me how tired I am. Plus, the ducklings had been out too and they needed to go back into the building. We made it just in time for the rain to start!
Anyway, here are a few photos, I didn't take any towards the end though with the top on.
Oh, I also painted the chickens nest box which is an old cabinet that I am repurposing. I just have a before shot (well semi before shot).
They are growing their feathers in. Definitely done with the brooder. Your kids are now teenagers.Last day in the brooder!
Their house is ready for them minus the shavings. Tomorrow we are securing the run. (Hopefully the wind dies down.)
Oh, the kiddos are now sporting Mohawks.

Muscovy like to roost, so you may want to put a 2x4 or two in there for roosting. They may not use it right away but eventually they will want to.
I thought they might use that little "range" ledge. But, I can always add a roost later. I will add a nest box of some sort too. Or get an old dog kennel and put one outside? Hmmm.Muscovy like to roost, so you may want to put a 2x4 or two in there for roosting. They may not use it right away but eventually they will want to.
Yeah. They are very personable. Well, as long as I dont pick them up.They are growing their feathers in. Definitely done with the brooder. Your kids are now teenagers.
They like to actually roost. I don't think they will use that shelf as they can't grip it. Some of mine when younger would go 20 feet up into the shed rafters to roost. This hen is about 5 feet off the ground. That seems to be a favorite height.I thought they might use that little "range" ledge. But, I can always add a roost later.
