My new pet snake *PICS*

I will post pics just as soon as I can. Since my stroke I have no use with my left hand. Everything else is working except my memory sometimes. I feel lucky because it could of been half my body not working.

Agreed, its you bodys warning shot to take care of yourself , there are a lot of people here to help.
You have to fight fight and fight to get use of the arm back. it can be done I manged it, it wasnt easy and sometimes it still has its brain dead moments, but it does make for some interesting words LOL.

I was wondering what type of snake you would reccomend for a newbie , I honestly have a small fear of snakes but truly love them ( Iknow I'm a weirdo) I have always wanted a snake and now that im on my own would like to go ahead and get one.. I have two young boys so it needs to be a snake that wont be jumpy, I want soemthing that is known for being docile and likes to be held.. Also I would like a snake that doesnt get too large.. It will be starting in a 10 or 20 gallon with me building a larger cage later.. I fell in love with the African House Snake a few years back but am uncertain if that would be a good match for my situation... Any advice is greatly appreciatted..

A ball python would be a good one to start with. They don't get real big and as long as the snake is handled a lot it want be aggresive. One thing though, before buying one make sure its eating. Some snakes will not eat in captivity and people will try and sell these snakes just to get the money. Since my stroke its very difficult to type but if you need more info just PM me and I will give you my phone number. We would be more than happy to help you make a choice, a choice where you can get a healthy snake and not get screwed in the deal.

Here is the pic everyone has been waitng on. Its 12 baby cane brake rattlesnakes. They are born with the same potent venom as there mother they just have less venom to inject. We were lucky enough to see these beauties being born.

I didnt read thru all of these posts.. just some of them.
I have a question tho..You have a licence to keep and take them out of the wild ?
I know some are proetced by alabama laws and you cant or not suppose to harvest them without a licence?

Just curious.

Ya we do have a lisence and they were not easy to get. Only two people in our county got the lisence so we feel like we were doing everything right. WHEW!!!!!!! We have some snakes thay come frome africa. Tell me where you woud get anti-venom if you got bit by one of those? HUGE WHEW!!!!!
