I am so madly in love with this little guy it brings tears to my eyes. I have wanted a Newfie for 20 years and it took my husband leaving me to get the guts up to get one. He is so mellow and sweet and handsome. His Daddy is actually newfie and his mom a golden retriever. The best of both worlds!!

My sheltie even loves him and that is nothing short of miraculous.

And God help me, I almost came home with a second one. His brother was just as cute but bigger and he had white on his tummy and front legs. If she doesn't have a home for him by Monday, I will have a second one LOL! I think the kids are calling him Buck but five minutes ago he was Angus and five minutes before that he was Zeus, so who knows... I just know my heart melts to see him and have him sleep on me chest. Thanks for letting me gush, Suz

Congrats on the new pup! We saw a Newfie/Golden at a pet fair, and he was gorgeous!

We were kinda looking at Newfs before we got Brandi (Collie/Tevuren Shepherd)

What a doll. I love Newfies. My german shepard mutt has been one of the greatest pups I have ever had. The person that has the mother called me last week and had to take back her sister. She called and asked if I wanted her. My problem is I cant say no, but she is also a great dog. i know if they offered me another Newfie I would have a hard time saying no.

I am delirious with sleep deprivation. Last night Buck was sleeping on my chest and I noticed his respiratory rate was really rapid and shallow. 145 per minute to be exact. As a nurse I knew that was way out of line, called the vet and of course the one on call at 11:45 was 45 minutes away. She said to bring him right in and right after I hung up he had a seizure. I WIGGED out. Drove like a mad woman, had an enormous buck (the real male deer kind, not my dog

run into the side of my car. He ran off and no damage to my car I found out this am when I finally looked. The vet was all of 26, didn't know squat, was too involved with a sick cat to pay atttention or figure out what was wrong with my puppy and still charged me several ( I don't want to think about how many) hundreds of dollars. I did find out he had worms, even though he has had three de wormers, and giardia. Definitely explains the diarrhea. I think he got dehydrated which caused the hyperventilating which caused the seizure. I have never been so SCARED POOPLESS in my life. He is TOTALLY fine this am. Respirs at 20-25, running eating playing peeing pooping fine. I am smiling from ear to ear cuz he is in his little kennel next to sofa and he is sleeping and sucking on his tongue like he is nursing. It is so cute, endearing......all teary here sorry..... and last night I thought I was going to lose him.

What beautiful dogs!!!!! I LOVE newfies, and yours are precious. Buck's Daddy is a Landseer, you can see a pic of him at www.norcalnewfoundlands.com His name is Dozer. They have such wonderful personalities it just warms your heart. Buck's brother had more white on him and the thicker, denser coat like a newf. Buck has the sleeker coat like his mom, the golden retriever. Do you show them?

thanks

wow dozer is gorgeous!

I wish baron was nice and thick looking like that...but hes got a skin condition called Pyromerma (not sure if thats how you spell it) so he doesn't have as much fur as other newfs do.

No, we don't show our dogs.
