I just got this Rooster. Was told he is a pure Ameraucana. They said he came from a blue egg. They also said he was hatched in Mid Spring Early Summer. All the chickens they have look like each other body shape wise, but different colors.
I've had him for about 3 days now. I haven't herd him crow. He is very calm and loves to be held and petted.
I'm thinking Easter egger? Also is he old enough for breeding?

He is just as big as my hens, if not bigger. But he is skinny/ thin. They had him in a tiny little coop with about 10 other roosters who were twice his size and all had frostbite. He was the only one who seemed nice and didn't have frostbite. He was suppose to be a freezer bird but I bought him.

Most likely an Easter Egger based by looks. Is that how the person you bought him from spelled 'Ameraucana'?

If he's not crowing then he's likely under 13 weeks not ready for baby makin'. he looks color wise like a roo I had crossed from a ISA brown and a Dorking. Love his colors. (he probably is ameraucana. though what genes he carries would depend on his father and mother. the blue egg shell only means his mother was ameraucana. :)
