Heterozygous means they display normal feathering but carry the silkie gene.
Homozygous means they have 2 copies of the silkie gene and display silkie feathering.

Strange but I have Calls and actually have one with Silkie feathering from Calls that are not Silkie at all. Is this Silkie feathering a genetic oops?

It is a genetic mutation.
Any pics? Some people confuse wet feather for silkie feathering.

It's recessive.
Same as Silkie feathers popping up in Cochins.
