My new toy! 😁😁😁

Sadly, I am now having trouble with the incubator. I locked the eggs down on Wednesday and increased the humidity from 45% to 65%. Throughout incubation, it held steady at 45% which is what I wanted. Now suddenly, I can't seem to get the humidity to increase. Water is coming through the hose but very, very little. It is set at 65% and will not get above 45%. Any advice @BrinseaUS?

What is your ambient humidity? And are you using an evaporating block?

If you live in a dry area or if the inside of your house is dry you may need to add water to the other water channel.

By ambient humidity, do you mean the humidity outside of the incubator? I have the relative humidity set at 65%. Yes, I am using an evaporating block.

At lockdown, should I always add water? I thought the hose connected to the incubator was going to take care of whatever water was needed to meet the humidity levels.

Yes, the ambient humidity is the humidity outside the incubator. It can have an effect on how well the incubator can achieve higher humidity levels especially if you live in a dry climate or are using a heater indoors.

If the pump alone is not able to reach the desired humidity level then we recommend adding water to the other water channel. The pump only adds water to one side, so you may need to add water to the other side to help raise the humidity.

The humidity outside (not indoors) is 32%. I do not have a hygrometer inside my house so I'm not sure what the inside humidity is.

One more question though...is the pump supposed to lightly dribble water into the incubator? I never see a steady stream of water, just a drop here and there. Is that normal?

Thanks for your help and for the great customer service!
