Thanks guys for all the comments on the new babes!
I will take some pictures of them SOON! We JUST got home from a 3 hour trip, and they are getting settled into their own pen. I'll add the pictures in an hour or so!

I had ducks for years and never thought I NEVER would want geese. Historically geese have a bad reputation for being aggressive. Believe me, my Sebs are much less aggressive than my Swedish Blue Ducks. I do not let children or dogs (I have dogs and visiting children) chase my geese, and they all get along well.I don't go overboard petting any of my poultry. Once they mature they are not fond of being touched by humans. The one exception are my Russian Orloff chickens , who I can pick up any time! I would have to say treat geese as you would a dog. They are intelligent and respond to good food, respect and proper shelter. They respond positively to kind treatment and (healthy) TREATS! My geese hiss at me all the time-yeah right, big babies! It's just what they do like dogs bark-no big deal! I just move about them naturally and they hiss or honk and greet me depending on how they feel that day. I have never been goosed yet by my geese. I give the geese the best of care and try not to stress them when they start to lay and breed from m Feb-March. What a joy it is when they hatch goslings!

I can only comment on my Sebastopol but out of 6 that I have, I can pick up and hold 3 of them. They readily come to me for me to hold them. They'll sit on my lap and take treats from my fingers. Peter, my one gander, will give me goose kisses on my cheek.
The other 3 are starting to come around. I only raised Peter from a baby so the fact that 2 of them that I didn't raise, allows me to hold them shows how sweet Sebastopols can be.
