I'm not sure what u mean?Umm...did you do the look but don’t don’t touch introductions? You might want to think about that...birds sometimes have a hard time adjusting..but I’m sure you know that...congratulations on the new guys.. I have two Saxony..Lou and Louise View attachment 1938826
I think that's because Muscovy are a totally separate species of bird. I never witnessed any cross breeding of my scovies and other ducks, either. But it can and does happen sometimes, from what I understand the offspring are sterile.I have often thought that since my Muscovy drake has never tolerated another drake around but he has never minded the Runner Drake. The Runner drake can even run one of the Muscovy females down right in front of my Muscovy drake and he just stands there an watches. And he has never even attempted to mate with the Runner or Buff females and the Buffs are shaped like a normal duck lol Pretty weird.
Oh yes that’s a great way!I'm not sure what u mean?
The way introduced them was I set that large cage into the cage and they stayed in it for 2 days in the other Indian runners shed then I let them out but they never fought they just mind their own business
The drake is a little more timid but is coming around nicely ducks are fine with me they just sit in the pond most of the day
Very true my runners will accept any ducks and they often let some of my little barbies sleep with them but my muscovys they are total opisit they will share the same run but the pond belongs to the muscovys and they have there own homesI am sure that is part of it just never witnessed it before I got Runners an Buffs. Muscovy drakes sure don’t tolerate another Muscovy drake around at least here anyway. I find Runners some of the most accepting breeds out there. They run as a group and accept as one big happy family.
AgreedThey sure are cool birds the way they accept others so easy. I say they are one for all an all for one.
