And having Muscovy an Runner it’s amazing the difference in personalities my Muscovy are very laid back where the Runners and even the Buffs are out the door in the morning faster that lightening. I have one Muscovy who hangs out with the Runners a lot she was the mama to my Adults. The other Muscovy pretty much ignore them all.my 2 Buffs hatched with the Runners and think that’s what they are.

When u say buff do u mean the duck breed?

They have the prettiest faces and boy are the drakes stunning too. I'd have one in a minute if I didn't have Muscovy and Runner drakes. Don't want to press my luck.

I adopted 2 runners to add to my pekins. The runners busted into the pekins area and stole their pool! The pekins came to me to file a formal complaint!

It was past mating season, and everyone was fine. I did keep them in separate night houses the first night, just in case.

Congrats OP and thank you @Duckfarmer1 for saving ducks. 5 of my 7 are from the animal shelter.

So pretty! One of my new babies, Sandy, is a Buff. I also have a white layer and a fawn and white runner. I thought it would be hard to tell these babies apart, but the runner is already getting her upright shape, and Sandy's bill is more of a purple while the white layer's bill is really pale!
