Yeah but his parents are blue, aren't they? Isn't Suede blue or is he black?

I thought black was a seperate breed, life Buff.

Now you got me all confused.

Nope, if you breed him with Splash you'll get blue babies. Black+Splash= Blue

You can breed 2 blues together but that could result in black or blue chicks depending on their genetics.

My silkie hens have found a home with Kees, the 3 Orps and White Rock
are with John, the Wellsummer and EE pullets are going to Joe's in the
morning, so that leaves me with 8 assorted silkie roos, 10 various layers,
25 various cockerals, and 20 quail. I'm gonna keep a small laying flock and
around 7 quail for as long as I can. The cockerals will most likely be fryers.
The silkie roos, well, want them?

Hmmm, OK, then I should have John keep all of Splashes eggs for us then?

Hey your frizzle is in with the layers now. I wanted to get her out of the
silkie area.

Does he have any other roo's besides Blue? If not, then yeah, keep her eggs. When she was here she wasn't laying, broody the whole time. Dang bird.
