Look it's chick 12. Finally got a Charcoal Pied and wondering if it is considered Silver Pied? It is from Hades Charcoal W/E split silver pied and Hera IB split charcoal split pied. Now I need it to be a MALE!

Chick 13 IB Pied split Charcoal hatched but it wasn't it's lucky day. I dropped the not once but twice and it hit the washing machine and bounced of the tide bottle and landed on the floor. Broke a lot of the shell off and it was bleeding. I stopped the bleeding and checked it was still alive and chirping. Removed the paper towel and dropped it again same thing again. The chick was still chirping. I gave it a few hours for the clear membrane to dry so I could help it out of the shell cause it was not going to get out on it's own, poor little thing

There was pieces of shell everywhere. I took pictures and looked at them asking how the heck it survived that horrible fall TWICE! I removed all the broken pieces of shell cause it was bleeding. You can see in the first picture where it landed as there is still blood there. We I got it out and then washed it in warm water to get the dried stuff off. It has one heck of a swollen neck, biggest I have ever seen. So far it is doing good and surviving. I will post dry pictures tomorrow night. It is from Hades Charcoal and Aphrodite the IB Pied

Here is the little one this morning. I think the toes will need taping but we shall see tonight:

Just want to update this thread. Chicks 1,3 and 4 are indeed white birds not BS and chicks 6 and 8 are indeed Black Shoulder. These are out of Eros and by getting BS chicks he also has to be split BS. From the chicks he produced so far we now know him as IB split white split BS. The Purple BS hen is split white.

Here is chick 15 out of Hades and Hera. It is a lot lighter and grayish in person so I am thinking it will turn out to be charcoal. Will post an update on this one.

OOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BEAUTIFUL! good luck with your droped baby!
my eggs are due to hatch this Thursday... I have 8 developing...out of 13 eggs.... 6 look perfect but 2 do not have a clearly defined air sack... dont know if this is just because the shell is thicker, or if it means the chick died... but they are both solid black with an air pocket that seems to be growning in size and no moving fluid in there.. so maybe

I have now had 9 Peachicks hatched out of 25, still hopefully for two that are not at day 28 until tomorrow. The first half of these were started point down before I started putting them on the side. Having better hatches with them on the side. Have to tape the feet on about 1/4 of them to get toes spreading ad straight and also several I taped the legs together with about 1.5 spread for splayed legs, is this common with Peachicks? They were worse on my purchased as than eggs from my trio. Also having to help several out of the shell due to drying as shrink wrapped, they don't seem to be able to zip completely before getting stuck, any suggestions? My humidity is running at 62% for hatching.

Chick 13 made it just fine, the swelling is 99% gone and it is standing up. I do have to tape the toes on one leg but other then that it's perfect. Will post picture tonight.
