CHEERS!

Maybe the older ones are just getting weaker.Chickens dont like changing the pecking order. If she is scaring them that would mean she is at the highest.

If she is even making a slight peck she is higher.Just watch them eat,If one looks at the other one in the eye that basically means get the*********** out of here or i am going to kick your ****** .

do not feel Bad......It was so confusing....

of course the question you want answered is important......You posted it.....Anyways make it simple and to the point....I will help you out....

Cheers!
yeah,I'm a confusing person

but I don't think it is as important as a chicken with a disease, just a simple changing pecking order, all flocks have it. I wouldn't care if it went unanswered,i'm sure everything will work out and it things do get out of hand, then i would take it more seriously. But i'm just still slowly learning and observing.

I read what you posted....That is normal pecking order with Chickens.....Always a bird or two who try to be at the top of the pecking order to be the first at food and water...Best roosting spot.....etc.....

Cheers!

Ok. I was confused because the chicken "pecking" at the older chickens has a "sister" that i thought was higher than her in the pecking order
what i was about to write might not have made sense, let me show this instead:

Top
old hen?
old hen?
hen trying to take over "hen 2"
hen who i thought was above the hen taking over "hen 3"
last hen in pecking order " irrelevant hen"

bottom

Quote: Okay.....What your seeing is all normal Chicken pecking order....On a daily basis they all will get pecked if the top hen decides that a bird has stepped out of line....A middle bird might try to become top bird so that is where the little squabbles happen.....
As long as no blood is shed and they are not fighting, it is all normal Chicken behaviour....

Cheers!

Yeah sounds normal, but when chickens fight for a higher position there is a 95%chance bloods gonna be shed from what I see..
