My Pekin ducks are too loud!!!

If she's screaming when she sees you, I bet she's saying momma momma - I sat down with my quackers last night. And as soon as I was down where they could climb on me, they came straight for me and snuggled in and went right to sleep... and it wasn't even bedtime.

I also figured out if I let them take a bath before bedtime and let them get dry before putting them to bed, they quiet down right away as soon as the lights are out.

So thank God my ducks are fine. We probably aren't doing the cage this weekend because I mean i don't know my dad's been really stressed. I found the trick to quiet them. I have to go out and tuck them into bed or they won't stay quiet. At least it's better. Im starting another thread about the ducks and I really need advice. I don't know what to do. Please check that one out.thanks.

So...my ducks are SUPER loud - at various times of the day. They are cooped up at night - no issues once they are inside...but DANG. They are louder than my Rooster when they get going. They are "teenagers" right now...so perhaps it will quiet down. They do it when swimming, walking around, digging...no particular rhyme or reason...just LOUD. No super close neighbors, but at 5:15 in the morning when their auto door opens...they come spilling out and the noise begins! I feel for you there.

They will definitely quiet down. In May, the Spring Ducklings were so loud and permanently talking with their shrill voices that my wife demanded i should sell them. Duck teenagers are that way - exactly like human teenagers too. Give them another month and you will see their voices become more deep and "duckier" and they will calm down.
