Doggone it, Alex! I was gonna say that! I was looking for the other thread where you'd posted that information before but - gasp - I've been BLOOIED!
I love MPC!!!
Place an order for my first chicks last June for 16 chicks to be delivered the first week in September. About 2 weeks before the hatch date I received a call from a very nice lady in customer service letting me know 1 of the breeds would unfortunately not be getting hatched on that day. She stayed on the phone and helped me pick out a replacement breed.
2 weeks later my all my chicks were delivered healthy and active. They are now sassy 23 week olds.
I am now anxiously awaiting my second order of chicks to arrive next week!!
Here's a couple pics of the sassy ones.

They are stunning! What did you order for this Spring?
Alex
My Pet Chicken
Thank you!!
These are the breeds I ordered --
Barred Plymouth Rock
Golden Laced Wyandotte
Silver Laced Wyandotte
Speckled Sussex
Super Blue Egg Layer
Blue Ameraucana
Rare Marans Collection
Blue Splash Marans
Lavender Orpington
White Leghorn
Swedish Flower Hen
It's a hodge podge of breeds, lol.
Well my hatching egg I ordered arrived today and I have to admit I'm disappointed. I should start by saying that they arrived in a timely manner and were all well packaged and included 4 extras, so cudos to them for that. I had ordered their Purely Posh assortment and paid over $200 for 2 dozen eggs. There were 14 differt possible varieties and I received just 4, with two of those (half the order) being varieties of Marans which has me very nervous since they are notoriously difficult to hatch. I also received 4 Creme legbars, which had me excited until I unwrapped them and they are the same green my Easter egger lays, not blue at all. The last variety was Swedish Flower hen, which in happy about, but just wish I had gotten more of a variety. If I knew it would have been so few would have just ordered separate breeds instead of getting a variety assortment, especially at that price. Now Im scrambling to get more eggs locally since this will be my only hatch this year and all those Marans eggs have me thinking it may not be very successful and I was really hoping to get some better cored eggs. If I did it over again I would have ordered separate varieties and not an assortment. Wish me luck!![]()

Congratulations on your hatch. What sex are your cream legbars? From the picture on the right, looks like the baby on the far right may be a cockerel. Not sure about the one in front, but is that a small yellow spot? The results are in and we had 11 of the 28 hatch (16 made it to lockdown). We ended up with 4 Black Copper Marans, 3 Cream Legbars, 2 BBS Marans, and 2 Swedish Flower Hens. Happy we got at least two of each breed (fingers crossed for a girl!). Overall fairly successful, especially for shipping in winter. Here are a few of the newbies![/URL]![]()

I really want to get some hatching eggs, but unfortunately I haven't done well in the shipped egg department.
