Thank you. Sadly one of the little Hamburgs died, and despite doing everything I can, I think the other will follow shortly. Right now she's in the incubator following her last dose of Nutri-drench and a little water but it's getting harder and harder to get either into her. I have my Silkie eggs in the Brinsea, and the plan was to move them to the hatcher as they pipped. But right now this little girl has commandeered the hatcher and as long as she keeps fighting she'll have it for however long it takes. The eggs will just have to hatch in the smaller bator.
Guess I'll notify MPC tomorrow. I should know if she'll survive by then. These two chicks were really tiny compared to the others, and I guess I didn't take that into account when I ordered or I'd have chosen a breed closer in size to the rest of them. Lesson learned, the hard and painful way and at these babies' expense.
The others are in the indoor brooder and doing fantastic. Active, eating, drinking, in and out from under MHP, and they seem pretty doggone content. If this little girl makes it, she'll stay indoors until I am 100% confident that she's fully recovered. The White Cochins are adorable, and Katie is in love.
