I got my very first eggs from MPC. Out of 14 eggs, 6 developed and 4 hatched. Those that didn't were infertile, except for 3 which were scrambled during shipping. The fertility and hatching were directly linked to breed. All the EEs and the Australorps either developed or hatched, but nothing else. It was disappointing. I've had much, much better luck with shipped eggs from BYC members. Everyone I've ordered from does a great job packing eggs.

Yeah, the packing job was horrible. I have never shipped eggs but I would have done a lot better job. They had it done to just get by with no breakage but not enough to make it through handling. They had a thin layer of paper around each egg, cartons where placed on their sides, and then a little paper stuffed in the box. Could have been better.

what kinda chicks you got comin? i bet you're excited! i think i'll order some EE chicks from them next year cuz i had 15 EE eggs that i bought (from a breeder) and i only have 3 viable out of that whole bunch too. but i blame that on the shipping. 2 of the eggs were totally demolished when i got them. AND they got hung up at the PO over the weekend. i never think THAT is good.
my absolute favorite pet chicken (named Cricket, and she's a Silver Cuckoo Marans) came from MPC and she's the best and sweetest hen EVER. but even aside from her, i've never been disappointed in their chicks. so good luck!

I got my favorite breeds coming from them only two more weeks! I only been excited since dec 1 when I placed the order!! I got coming 2 silver laced wyandottes 2 golden laced wyandottes 1 buff silkies 1 speckled Sussex. hopefully they all come healthy. The 3 eggs that did hatch from my last attempt with mpc eggs where two bcm roosters and a pretty Easter egger roo. I don't have the maran Roos anymore they went to freezer camp. I might get an ee next year to go with my ee roo.

Wow, isn't that extremely expensive per egg? Are these really good show quality chickens? I've enjoyed buying eggs off ebay where you can read feedback and judge by that. With no way to leave feedback, it doesn't seem like they have any reason to be helpful in every situation, especially since they are a business and probably not an individual that takes pride in what they do.

So pretty much all of my own eggs hatched. Out all of them I set I had one pip and die and one is still sitting in the Incubator. They cant tell me it was my settings. They keep telling me the owner is going to get in touch with me but he hasnt and I dont think he will. I will haunt them. If they cannot even call me, communicate reasonably and and possibly resolve this Im going to bug the crap out of them. Every post they put on Facebook I will comment and I hope if someone googles their business I hope my reviews come up!

I just posted on their Facebook page a few minutes. We will see if they actually address it or delete it. I have spoke to the lady who answers calls and she keeps telling me my concerns have been forwarded to the owner yet he wont call me. In all seriousness this really is not that complicated of an issue. If he calls me and isn't so closed minded and wishes to work with me, it can be settled easily. Now, if they want to treat me like a problem child that's doing nothing but trying to scam them then I will be a problem. I have better things to do with my time than try and scam someone for eggs. Its just that I value what little money I have. I'm trying to get a business going and this has set me back. Anyway we will see.

My wife and I drove down to Ohio and bought some chicks due to my MPC eggs not hatching. We got 8 Black Copper Marans and 2 Blue Copper Marans. Also we aquired 2 Polish Chicks. Just hope we get this all straitened out.

Here is the Gang. Front 2 chicks are the Black and Blue Marans. Back Black chick is my EE cross (I love the little beards!

) And the Polish we got from someone on craigslist. The Marans we got from BYC Member The Point.

they're just as cute as can be!! glad you finally got some babies! my 3 silkies go into lockdown thursday evening. i sure hope all 3 hatch!!
