My Polish goes in Circles all day long!VIDEO

I have read a few other post about birds going around in circles. This is nothing compared to what she does in the day time. She goes fast all day! Whats up with that? She has done it from the day she was hatched! This is my first attempt to take a video so if I mess up I will try again. Click on pic

Wow, that is just strange. I have seen dogs and zoo animals in limited quarters that develop such stereotypical behavior but never a chicken. Looking at the video, it appears that they have plenty of room; therefore, I don't think it is caused by environment. Maybe one of those little chips in her head was misplaced when she was born, and neurons are missfiring.

I have a blind chicken that does this when i talk to her.

She is not blind and she goes outside in the yard and does this too. She is just weird! It will be funny when the breeding starts!

Polish are just nervous, twitchy birds. One of my friends described them as, "A little old lady in her best Sunday hat wringing her hands about all the cares in the world." My Polish hen just acts worried all the time: pacing, jerking her head and little twitchy movements like that.

my polish is a very nervous bird... just there way of being...

I sat out with here today and pulled the feathers from the eyes and she watches everything I am doing while she spins. She is real wacky. I put her in the yard and she circles back to her pen . She goes both ways so when she turns 1 way she then goes the other. Real skiddish. I have 30 or so polish over 5 months old and all are very friendly and most will come to you but not Circle. She acts like Autistic or equalibrium(sp) issues? She will sleep in a box and not roost yet either. She is approx. 5 months old now.

Yep, I dusted a week ago but on top of that treat weekly with oxine too. I wonder if there is a natural drug to mellow her out maybe like raspberry leaves do for my horses??
