It's not a compound, it's a fortress.

I agree!Yeah that's true! Better safe than sorry though!
Ok! My tube specifically says pain killer ointment so that's why I said that. I just didn't want them to hurt their chicken.Asserting warnings in all caps is pretty dramatic. It's anything with "caine," in the word that typically means pain relief. Just read ingredients. Most people have tubes of Neosporin or Triple Antibiotic that are JUST FINE.
They do sell it without the pain killer in it. That is what I have on hand just in case I should ever need it. You are right about the pain killer though.DO NOT PUT NEOSPORN ON HER!! It has a pain killer in it that is toxic to chickens. Bacitracin ointment is a better alternative and is right next to the neo in the first aid isle.
I have noticed that as well! That's really nice. I was just saying that people should specify bc you might not think of that. They do sell it without the pain killer in it. That is what I have on hand just in case I should ever need it. You are right about the pain killer though.
Oh no I meant that everyone says the pain killers in it is bad for chickens not for humans.Neosporin contains neomycin an antibiotic that treats gram negative bacteria. It is safe unless someone is allergic to it. It is used in people’s eyes for eye infections, and on wounds if you are treated in the ER. So, it is wrong to tell everyone it is toxic and should not be used. It is fine to use bacitracin ointment as well, it just doesn’t contain the neomycin.
