Sorry for your loss. I know how you feel. I found my beloved black silkie dead this morning. She somehow managed to get her head wedged between the hen box. I small area I never dreamed that would harm my chicka.

We just lost our favorite guy last month. I know how you feel, even more so, how it still hurts to remember him. He was inside with a bad Respiratory Infection and I left a feeding cup in his cage. The next morning I went to check up on him and I found him lying down with his head jammed in the cup. It hurts even more when you know it's all your fault. Don't beat yourself up for it. You showed him love and happiness before he went. Chickens may be loving, but they can be cruel creatures at heart, often times resorting to cannibalism and death. I'm very sorry you had to see that...to know that. You're going to make it and you're going to remember him forever.

So sorry for you loss...I lost my little Henry ...a bronze seabright as well..and was really attached to him ...so my heart goes out to you . Time will heal your heart.
