Hello out there in cyberspace! I'm new but friendly. Don't know a lot about chickens but I love to learn, so anyone wanting to
help out with this question would be great!

I have a very nice but scared Buff Cohin Rooster and he is has something happening to his feet, legs and thighs. There is small amounts of blood coming from his foot feathers, and bald red legs and some scales. He has this issue that caused it to turn into another issue that where his thighs meet his body he has chewed himself into hamburger meat (ok chicken meat, I don't eat them.)
His skin all over his body is Bright Red, almost bloody red. I really want to help him and I have been castor oil and Vitamin E oil one them. He has a really hard time walking and when I put the oil on it makes it even harder. I really feel bad for him.
Any help, Thank you

It almost sounds like you're dealing with scaly legs mites and a mite infestation rolled into one. Visually inspect him closely. Mites are very tiny, black or reddish in color. They move very slowly. Especially check his vent area.
Scaly leg mites are lodged underneath the scales on the legs. Scales are usually lifted and dirty looking, can look kind of scabby if it's that bad.
