She is doin very good today! The swelling went down a lot and there isn't much drainage anymore. She's in awesome spirits as well. She can only go outside on the leash until the vet says otherwise (she could rip the drain out or a stitch). Everytime I take her out she practically drags me around! I thought since she's hurting it wouldn't be so bad but she must not be hurting that much! Little stinker always has to go way far away from the house to pee of course so I'm stuck out in the cold walking around forever! She's never been one to hurry up and potty lol. Can't wait until she's all better and she can have her freedom back

jbourget- The vet gave us the biggest chunk of wood back, thinking about keeping it a while too lol!
WoodlandWoman- don't even mention that S word yet! We had a bit already and thank goodness it melted! I'm not ready for it yet!

She's doing even better today! It really doesn't drain much anymore. I swear she's not even in any pain, she came in bed by me this morning and was my same happy girl rolling around and wanting love but now with a cone head

She's pretty funny looking with it on, esspecially when she goes outside and puts her nose to the ground!

When I had my redbone I made her wear a chest protector when running coons. It is worth buying as they get cut up no matter what. I hope she heals and can get out soon...I miss having my redbone, only lived til two...had to have her put down do to a brain tumor. She was the daughter of "Old Dan" in "Wher The Red Ferns Grow" the remake that is.

wow, That's crazy!!! same thing happened to my German Shepered ... Except not as bad, vet didn't put drain in, and my GS was a little higher up..

I'm so glad she will be ok! Can't get over the fact injury is so like my dog!!
She's beutiful btw! Please don't be to mad at hubby, I was with my dog.. He never yelped at all, and still don't know how it happened.. Vet says a stick or a fence line.. (his cut went across instead of up n down..)

So stressful with a injured dog!!!
