The other night at roost, Locke was late to take his spot. When we went in to tuck them in, he was wandering around on the floor looking for a way to his spot. The only problem was there were three buff orpington and three brown leghorns in his way. They were all lined up on the board that they all roost on. Locke usually wants to be with the ladies he was raised with and will burrow himself under them to sleep. He kept trying to push his way past the BOs and BLs and was constantly being pushed to the floor.
At one point he went and sat in one of the nesting box where the five youngest roost. He looked ridiculous and the young ones were a bit nervous since he usually picks on them. He clearly didn't want to sleep alone. DH finally picked him up and placed him with his ladies. They fussed at him too as he burrowed his way under them. Poor Locke. Typical male, not wanting to sleep alone.
