My Porcelain D'uccle Bantam finally laid her FIRST egg today.... After 1 year!!!!

I was really thinking that she would NEVER ever lay. I was also worried that "she" might be a "he" and even asked some of you about a week ago!!!!!!!!!!

I'm so excited I can't believe she really laid this little off-white egg!

Here they are from left to right........ 2 ISA Browns, 1 Easter-egger (light blue), and 1 Porcelain D'uccle Bantam (off-white).

it's so cute!!! But I'd need about 6 of them to have a "3-egg" breakfast! Lol!!

I can't wait till tomorrow to see if she lays another! Wonder what she thought as she was laying it???

Yeah... Our Porcelin D'Uccles don't lay very often. I get 1-3 eggs a week from ours. But it's always exciting when they DO lay!!

Aren't they the cutest eggs?? I was surprised at how large the yolk was when cracked. We have two D'uccle hens and I love cuddling them. They seem to be more consistent layers than I had counted on.

We got egg #2 today!!!!

So cute............ and so small.............. Bet I could eat a dozen at one breakfast. LOL!
